FAQ's

What are your candles made from?
100% natural soy wax and cotton wicks, hand-poured in small batches in our Carlisle workshop. No paraffin, no shortcuts — each candle burns for around 20 hours.

How long will my order take to arrive?
Everything is handmade to order, so please allow 10–12 days for us to pour, finish and dispatch your order. We promise it's worth the wait. Delivery is via Royal Mail Tracked 24, which delivers next day around 90% of the time once it's shipped.

Is delivery free?
Yes — we offer free UK delivery on orders over £30.

Do you ship internationally?
Not currently, we're sorry! We only ship within the UK at the moment, though we hope to change that in future.

Can I return an item?
Yes. We accept returns within 14 days provided the candle is unused, in good condition and in its original packaging. Email VictorianCandleCo(at)gmail.com quoting your order number and reason for return before sending anything back, and we'll sort it out for you. See our full Shipping & Returns policy for details.

My candle arrived faulty or damaged — what do I do?
Every order is carefully checked before it leaves us, but if something has gone wrong in transit please email VictorianCandleCo(at)gmail.com as soon as possible and we'll put it right.

How do I get the best burn from my candle?
Trim the wick to about 5mm before each burn, and let the wax melt fully across the top each time to avoid tunnelling. See our Burning Tips & Safety page for the full guide.

Can I build my own box of candles?
Yes — our Build Your Own Trio Box lets you mix and match your favourite scents and save.

Do you run candle-making workshops?
